Booking & Participation Terms

Please read these terms before completing your booking. They are intended to make the practical arrangements and expectations around participating in Making Room clear.

1. Booking & Payment

Places on Making Room are limited. Your place is confirmed once your registration has been completed and full payment has been received.

The programme fee covers the full eight-week programme and includes all materials used during the sessions and light refreshments.

The Early Booking price of €280 applies to bookings completed and paid for by 2 January 2027. After this date, the programme fee is €295.

Payment is made securely online through Stripe. You will receive confirmation of your payment after completing your booking.

A booking is for one participant and cannot be used to reserve multiple places.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Making Room is a small-group programme with a limited number of places. Your booking reserves your place for the full eight-week programme.

Once payment has been made, the programme fee is non-refundable; this applies if you cancel or decide not to attend, subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

If you cancel before the programme begins and Making Room is able to fill your place with another participant, your programme fee will be refunded.

3. Changes or Cancellation by Making Room

Occasionally, circumstances outside the control of Making Room may mean that a session needs to be rescheduled. If this happens, participants will be given as much notice as reasonably possible and an alternative date will be arranged.

If a session cannot be rescheduled, an appropriate refund will be provided for that session.

Making Room requires a minimum number of participants in order for the programme to run. If the programme is cancelled because minimum numbers are not reached, all payments will be refunded in full.

In the unlikely event that Making Room has to cancel the programme entirely, participants will receive a full refund of programme fees paid.

4. Nature of the Programme

Making Room is a creative wellbeing and personal-development programme designed to offer space for reflection, creativity, self-exploration and meaningful conversation.

Although the programme is developed and facilitated by a warranted psychotherapist and draws on psychological ideas and insights, Making Room is not psychotherapy, psychological treatment or a substitute for individual mental health care.

Participation in Making Room does not establish a therapist–client relationship between participants and the psychotherapist facilitating the programme.

You are always free to decide how much you wish to share. You will not be required to disclose personal experiences or information that you do not wish to discuss.

5. Mental Health & Crisis Support

Making Room is not a crisis or emergency mental health service and is not intended to provide support during an acute mental health crisis.

If you are experiencing significant psychological distress or feel that you require individual mental health support, you are encouraged to contact an appropriate healthcare or mental health professional.

Messages, emails or other communications sent to Making Room are not monitored as a crisis service and should not be used to seek urgent mental health support.

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 112. For additional support in Malta, you may contact Supportline 179 or access online support through Kellimni.com.

6. Participation & Group Environment

Making Room is designed to be a respectful and supportive space where participants can explore, reflect and take part at their own pace.

You are encouraged to participate in a way that feels comfortable for you. There is no expectation to share personal experiences, and you may choose not to take part in or share from a particular activity.

Participants are expected to treat one another with respect and consideration and to respect different perspectives, experiences and ways of participating.

If behaviour is seriously disruptive, threatening, discriminatory or compromises the safety or wellbeing of the group, Making Room reserves the right to address the situation and, where necessary, ask a participant to leave.

Any decision regarding continued participation and any applicable refund will be considered according to the circumstances.

7. Confidentiality & Safety

Making Room is intended to provide a respectful and confidential environment. Participants are asked not to share personally identifiable information or stories disclosed by another participant outside the group.

Information shared within Making Room will be treated as confidential. However, confidentiality may need to be broken where there is a serious concern about a participant's safety or the safety of another person, including where there is reason to believe that someone may be at risk of serious harm, intends to seriously harm themselves or another person, or where a safeguarding concern arises involving a child or vulnerable person.

Where it is necessary to act on a safety or safeguarding concern, information will only be shared with an appropriate person or service as reasonably necessary to respond to that concern.

Because Making Room is a group programme, while all participants are expected to respect one another's privacy and confidentiality, confidentiality by other group members cannot be absolutely guaranteed.

8. Privacy & Personal Information

Personal information provided in connection with Making Room will be handled in accordance with the Making Room Privacy Notice.

Payment information is processed securely by the third-party payment provider and is not collected or stored directly by Making Room.

9. General

Making Room may occasionally make small adjustments to programme content, activities or materials where appropriate, while maintaining the overall purpose and structure of the programme.

These terms apply to your participation in the Making Room programme and should be read before completing your booking.
